My First Event…

bath salts

First, I would like to apologize for not being in touch for the past couple of weeks. It has been a whirlwind of a time in our house. It is amazing how God works in and through us even in the most stressful  times. I want to stop and thank God for His faithfulness and share a moment with you.

It has been a very eventful week leading to this very moment. While this was a last minute decision, I have seen God’s faithfulness in it all. When we work willingly as if working for the Lord in everything we do, it becomes joyful task. I am so excited to share this experience with you. In just a few hours, I will be leaving home will boxes and boxes of material to host a table at a fundraiser at our church tonight to support our local Women’s Shelter, Inc. ALL my proceeds from sales tonight will go to the shelter.

Through prayer, prayer, and answered prayer, God has opened doors, provided help, and brought my family across the miles and friends together to help me accomplish this project. I am so thankful to many people for their prayers, business labels 🙂 , business cards, materials, encouragement, support, SWAG bag help :), and so much more. I am overwhelmed with JOY and gratitude.

team c drawingI am happy to experience my J.O.Y.Full Family pulling together to make this week flow. My 9-year old daughter has been by my side helping me make soaps, scrubs, sprays and more. My husband has helped with signs, materials, and picking up my slack around the house including grocery shopping (I should take on projects like this more often!). And my sweet 11-year old boy has been taking care of his younger brothers so I can concentrate on this project. My house may be turned upside down and dinner may be eggs and fruit everyday this week, but we are making it happen as a team. We know it is for a short time and that is what we call “Survival Mode!” WOW, great time team!

Please pray for me and my daughter for this event. Pray that we will be Jesus to all those who visit our table. Please pray for many sales! We want to make an positive impact 🙂 Thank you for your support and prayers. Amazing things happen when God shows up! God is faithful!

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were
working for the Lord rather than for people.

  1. New follower here! I love it, “survival mode”! My oldest is 9 and I only recently realized how much I need her help. When we had our 4th little blessing 9 months ago I became eternally grateful to our Lord for blessing me with her. Sounds like your 9 year old daughter is of great help to you (not to mention your 11 year old)! You sound like an amazing mother and family! I look forward to reading your blogs!

    1. Thank you for stopping by and for your words of encouragement. It sounds like we have a lot in common 🙂 I pray you enjoy your little blessing. My youngest is 11 months old and I try to savor every moment I can. They grow up so fast. In some ways that is good and other ways you just want to stop and enjoy them. Blessings to you and your blog!

    1. Thank you so much for your support and kind words. The event was a great learning experience. My daughter and I learned so much and I think she matured overnight! The enjoyed spending time with her. We raised some money and we were able to support the local women’s shelter. It was a blessing to have everyone take part in the project to make it a family affair. God is faithful! Blessings to you.
