Our Little Miracle Story

What am I thankful for?

nuz-walking

I am thankful for my little girl walking. It sure is something we take for granted as we cheer on our little ones taking their first steps. But, a month ago, I sat in the doctor’s office with my six children for a well visit for my little girl. During her exam, the doctor was concerned as he rotated her hips. “She is resisting and crying when I try to move her leg” he said. “Is she walking at all?” I never had a second thought about it when she wasn’t walking at all at 16-months. All my kids were late walkers at 15-months old. But we noticed that her foot twisted inward and she dragged that leg when she crawled. “I want to see her back in a week and I recommend that she sees a pediatric orthopedic,” he nicely insisted. Not what you expect to hear at a routine well doctor visit!
Right there in the doctors office, I prayed over her. I prayed for the Lord to intervene and put her hip back in place and straighten her leg. I prayed for wisdom and direction on how to handle this situation. I prayed for peace so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed with fear and anxiety. I am a big believer in the power of prayer.

prayer-hand and girl prayer

After praying, I felt at peace. I trusted the Lord would give me wisdom and direction. So in my heart, I felt it would benefit her to get a adjusted. After being a patient of chiropractic care for over 25 years (don’t try to calculate my age…lol), I know first hand how great things can happen! So with lots of prayer and a few chiropractic adjustments, my girl is walking like a pro! No more twisted hip or turned in foot! Sniff sniff. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers. Happy Thanksgiving to you my friends! I am so thankful for the blessing you are in my life

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; His LOVE endures forever. Psalm 136:1

    1. I am so grateful. Every time I see her walking toward me, I just want to cry because I know it is truly God’s hand on her life. Every pitter patter of her feet around the house makes me smile. Oh Happy Day! Thank you sweet friend for sharing this joyful moment with me. I am so glad you came by for a visit. Blessings.

  1. So glad to hear this!!
When my daughter was about a year old the doctor told us that she may not walk properly due to her hip not forming well. We prayed about this and she is now 7 years old and walks and runs so well without any problems. Whenever we have any problems we should go to Dr. Jesus. His prescription is always: By my stripes you are healed!!

  2. So glad the adjustments worked! I know our loving Father in Heaven hears and answers our prayers. I am thankful for the little miracle of being able to now live in my home in Utah where I am closer to my three college kids. This is possible because my husband is being allowed to work from home for the first time ever.
