My 9-year old daughter asked me if I can make her a “happy spray.” She wanted a body spray to use in the morning before she was bombarded by four boisterous brothers knocking at her bedroom door. So the two of us put together this combination to bring a peaceful smile to her face (and mine too!)

This “Happy” spray takes less than 5 minutes to mix up.  We use this spray so much that I made a separate bottle for my 10-year old son who loves the smell of citrus. It does a whole lot of good to lift his mood daily. I have since had more requests from my other boys! Happy Kids-Happy Mom!

This spray is also good for your skin. The citrus essential oils provide the benefits of radiant, smooth skin and the unscented witch hazel with aloe provides moisturizing, toning properties for healthy skin.

“Happy” Body Spray

Ingredients:
4 oz distilled water
1/2 oz unscented witch hazel
10-12 drops YL Citrus Fresh Essential Oil
5-7 drops YL Orange essential oil
4 oz dark glass bottle with mist spray

  1. Using a small funnel, pour witch hazel, orange and citrus essential oils in a 2 oz dark glass bottle.
  2. Mix and let it sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the oils to diffuse into the witch hazel.
  3. Add distilled water.
  4. Shake to combine.
  5. Spray for a combination of a happy and peaceful mood.

Shake before each use.

Citrus Fresh Essential Oil: This YL essential oil blend combines Orange, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Lemon, and Mandarin oils with a hint of Spearmint. It is uplifting and refreshing. When applied topically, it provides the benefit of the citrus oils working together to tone and smooth the appearance of skin while promoting a happy mood. Some citrus oils can cause photosensitivity, so avoid applying to exposed skin before spending time outside.
