DIY Sleepytime Spray

diy-sleepytime-spray

Mommies and babies need sleep. So I created a spray that I could use both for myself and for my baby girl. I used this spray since she was a little bundle of joy. I use caution and spray it on my clothes, not directly on her. Then I lay her on me and snuggle her and she would fall asleep. Now that she is older, I spray it on me and on her crib sheets and I sing her a lullaby and lay her down to sleep. This spray is made with Young Living Gentle Baby essential oil blend, which promotes a sense of comfort in both mothers and children. This calming, soothing, relaxing spray helps soothe fussy children (and mommies too!). Shake well before use.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup distilled water
1 1/2 tsp unscented witch hazel
5 drops YL Gentle Baby essential oil blend (YL#2924389)
4 oz dark glass bottle
small funnel

Steps:

  1. In a glass container large enough to fit at least one cup of water, mix witch hazel and essential oil.
  2. Let sit for 15-30 minutes to allow time for the oils to dissolve into the witch hazel.
  3. Add water to the mixture and blend thouroughly.
  4. Using a funnel, transfer the mixture to a glass spray bottle.
  5. Shake well before use.

T-Tip: Feel free to adjust the essential oils to your liking. Some prefer a lighter scent and others prefer a strong scent.
