1 Samuel 27 – For this child I prayed

After falling down a flight of stairs when I was 15 years old, I endured a chronic back injury that left me in daily pain. My doctor told me that I should not get pregnant because I would risk being paralyzed from the waist down. The morning I was going in for prolotherapy, a procedure that only one doctor in town performed, I found out I was pregnant with our first child. I cancelled the procedure and trusted God.

I am so thankful for my husband who walked the walk of faith with me and supported me in my desire to have a natural child birth. I am thankful that even after my water broke and I was in labor for over 24 hours, my midwife gave us more time so we didn’t end up with an emergency C-section. And after the birth of our baby boy, the chronic back pain from my back injury never came back again! You are a miracle baby, son. I am so thankful for saying “YES” to the gift God has given us. For this child I prayed….Happy 14th Birthday, Byron.
