What am I thankful for?

I am thankful for my little girl walking. It sure is something we take for granted as we cheer on our little ones taking their first steps. But, a month ago, I sat in the doctor’s office with my six children for a well visit for my little girl. During her exam, the doctor was concerned as he rotated her hips. “She is resisting and crying when I try to move her leg” he said. “Is she walking at all?” I never had a second thought about it when she wasn’t walking at all at 16-months. All my kids were late walkers at 15-months old. But we noticed that her foot twisted inward and she dragged that leg when she crawled. “I want to see her back in a week and I recommend that she sees a pediatric orthopedic,” he nicely insisted. Not what you expect to hear at a routine well doctor visit!
Right there in the doctors office, I prayed over her. I prayed for the Lord to intervene and put her hip back in place and straighten her leg. I prayed for wisdom and direction on how to handle this situation. I prayed for peace so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed with fear and anxiety. I am a big believer in the power of prayer.

After praying, I felt at peace. I trusted the Lord would give me wisdom and direction. So in my heart, I felt it would benefit her to get a adjusted. After being a patient of chiropractic care for over 25 years (don’t try to calculate my age…lol), I know first hand how great things can happen! So with lots of prayer and a few chiropractic adjustments, my girl is walking like a pro! No more twisted hip or turned in foot! Sniff sniff. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers. Happy Thanksgiving to you my friends! I am so thankful for the blessing you are in my life ![]()
